Lionel Andrés "Leo" Messi (Spanish pronunciation: *ljoˈnel anˈdɾes ˈmesi+ ( listen); born 24 June 1987) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward for Spanish club Barcelona and is the captain of the Argentina national team.
