Look from the definition, linguistics is generally defined as the scientific study of the language. We know that the research object of linguistics is language, which we keep in touch with everyday.
First, So in my opinion, we learn the linguistics we can understand the true meaning conveyed by speakers better, and it is good for our daily communication.And the linguistics can standard our language structure and the language in our daily life.
Second, it is the better way to learn the English. For example, if we learn the linguistics, we will have another way to learn English, that is what we need now, and when we think about some other things we also can from the linguistic angle, we will not fell curious about something. Also linguistics provides students will valuable training for many different kinds of opportunities.
Third, this is a self improvement. If we are learning linguistics, we are in progress step by step.
I think it is a good way to understand the language, although I think it is difficult to learn. For example, you will also face evaluations of your language by other people——teachers, classmates, even families and friends——through your life.You will get better at using language to accomplish your goals if you understand what sort of problem is involved. This is where linguistics can help.
Last, I think that the linguistics knowledge is required in our future work. We will go to the society and face a lot of problems,I believe sometimes we can use the linguistic knowledge to solve the problem. For example, if you are being the translator, some linguistic tools can help you to understand some difficult sentences.
