Italy is located in the south of Europe. Its shape looks like a boat. It is a country which is full of great culture. Italy's food is famous around the world.

The Colosseum today is now a major tourist attraction in Rome with thousands of tourists each year paying to view the interior arena.
Venice is located in a lake in the Adriatic Sea(亚得里亚海) and is built on islands linked by more than 400 bridges.
Venice becomes even more charming during Carnival( 狂 欢 节 ), which is the most worldfamous festival and one of the oldest. The streets of Venice Carnival are full of people in masks.

Venice is one of the most important tourist destination in the world.
It has an average of 50000 tourists a day. In 2006,it was the world’s 2\8th most internationally visited city.

The Tower of Pisa
Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of world famous wonders and tourist attractions. The Tower was built in 1173 AD. The tower tilted to the southeast. The height of the tower is 55.86 meters from the ground on the lowest side and 56.70 meters on the highest side.

The Colosseum
The Colosseum(罗马圆形角斗场)was used to host gladiatorial(斗剑者的) shows as well as a variety of other events.
Anyway, the Venice Carnival is an adventure worth experiencing.

Venice has been known as "City of Water", "City of Masks", "City of Bridges", "The Floating City", and "City of Canals".
Venice is a magical place. It is one of a few cities in the world where the noises of cars are never heard because cars are not allowed. Instead, when it is quiet, one can hear the sound of waves rushing against the city’s great old buildings.
These costumes were first meant to hide personal identities. Then, different social classes could mix in a sea of happiness. Along the waterways, people greeted each other with: “Good morning Mrs. Mask!”
