Guangzhou Huangpu Foreign Ianguage school attached to Sun Yat-sen University wishes to engage the service of Canadian RICHARD ANDERSON MICHAEL (Passport No BA610954 ) as foreign teacher The two parties, in a spirit of friendly cooperation, agree to sign this con tract and pledge to fulfill con scie ntiously all the obligati ons stipulated in it. 1. This Agreeme nt shall take effect on the Sep f, 2010, and shall rema in in force until the Aug 31st, 2011, provided both parties agree. This Agreeme nt is subject to the Foreig ner Expert Permit to be fin ally issued by the Gover nment. This con tract can be ame nded by mutual agreeme nt of both parties.
2. Resp on sibilities of the employee
a) As the Employee, you shall be resp on sible to the preside nt of School and the Dea n of Foreig n Affairs Office.
b) As the Employee, you shall be resp on sible for assist ing in marketi ng and promoting school programs to public ,individuals, joint ventures and multi-nationals if necessary at weekends or weekdays; The details of marketing and promotion workload is described in Appendix.
c) .Spending one hour and a half one evening each week participating in and/or organizing English-related activities (e.g. English Corner, English Evenings); This is part of the contractual workload in addition to the contractually required number of teaching hours, and shall not be perceived as part of teaching hours. Inability to attend such activities or refusal to make up for activities missed the following week shall automatically result in a penalty of 200RMB each time;
d) The Employee shall maintain a professional image, which shall include, without limiting the generality of the foregoing: Wearing business-like attire, observing and maintaining high levels of personal hygiene, appropriate dress, conduct and mannerisms
e) The employee should pay the Chinese income tax according to the Chinese labor law.
f) Any task or assignment as might be directed by the Foreign Affairs
Office.
g) The employee shall not disclose the terms and conditions in this agreement to any third party;

3. Responsibilities of employer
a) Employer shall introduce the Chinese laws, decrees and relevant regulations enacted by the Chinese government, the employee' swork system and regulations concerning administration of foreign experts.
b) Employer shall either provide the Employee with free accommodation (with Refrigerator, Electric cooker, Sofa, Wardrobe, TV, Dining table, Bed, bedding, Washing machine, Air conditioner, Electric water heater, Micro-wave oven and so on. )or pay the Employee relevant accommodation allowance, about 300RMB per month. The Employee shall pay for his/her own electricity, gas, TV, hydro, and the sum of above fees shall be deducted from the monthly salary in line with the actual sum on the bills. Employer will provide copies of bills on or before the monthly pay period. In the case of the Employee leaving School prior to the monthly pay period, readings wherever applicable and the balance should be returned to the Employee when bills are received.
c) Employer shall pay the Employee for his services hereunder, the sum of 8800RMB per month for this period.
d) The employer shall conduct direction, supervision and evaluation of the employee's performance. And provide a renewal bonus of 6000RMB if the employee signs a renewal contract as soon as this contract finished,
