事件卡片举例如下:庆祝类★节日A foreign festivalSpeaking of my favorite foreign festival, I will tell you what I know about Christmas, which is a famous festival in most western countries. I believe that it is the most popular celebration around the world, and even though it is not atraditional festival here in China, everyone has heard of it and the related customs.First of all, Christmas is a religious holiday. People who believe in God celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ(耶稣基督). And a lot of people in Europe and South America go to church on Christmas Eve. The Bible tells us that Jesus was born on December the 25th in a stable. The priest gives a sermon (=speech) at the mass, and very often people sing religious songs together.{温馨提示} 朗阁雅思考试研究中心提醒考生们注意:这篇文章可以用于“a foreign festival”, 也可以用于“a foreign culture”或者“a culturalevent”。

A traditional festivalTalking about a traditional festival, I want to mention the Spring Festival, which is by far the most important celebration of the year in China. It is a very particular time for all family members to get together, just like Christmas in the West. All people living away from home go back, and it seems to be the busiest time for transportation systems for about half a month before the Spring Festival. Airports, railway stations and long-distance bus stations are crowded with home returnees.Store owners are busy then as everybody goes out to purchase necessities for the New Year. Materials not only include rice, flour, chicken, duck, fish and meat, but also fruit, candies and kinds of nuts. What's more, various decorations, new clothes and shoes for the children as well as gifts for the elderly, friends and relatives, are all on the list of purchasing.{温馨提示} 朗阁雅思考试研究中心提醒考生们注意:这篇文章可以用于“a traditional festival”, 也可以用于“a cultural event”或者“afamily event”。

事件卡片举例如下:庆祝类A traditional eventWell, one of the important traditional events in my hometown is the temple fair, which has a very long history, probably dating from Ming and Qing dynasties. And now it usually occurs from the first to the seventh day of the first month on the lunar calendar. Chinese still love visiting temple fairs during Spring Festival and organizers are adding new elements to the events to keep pace with the times. For me, I like the temple fairs because there are so many games to play, food to eat and performances to appreciate. But most importantly, it is definitely a cultural experience, and allows people to see Chinese cultures from a very detailed perspective.{温馨提示} 朗阁雅思考试研究中心提醒考生们注意:这篇文章可以用于“a traditional event”, 也可以用于“a cultural event”。

本文的思路为:庙会简单介绍+物美价廉的产品+各类民间表演+各种小吃+总结。

A weddingI've actually been to quite a few weddings and a friend of mine got married last month. I went to her wedding ceremony which was held in a church and began at 9 in the morning. It was a typical Western-style ceremony. The whole wedding ceremony in the church was pretty simple but solemn. First, the pastor(牧师)made some opening remarks. Then, the bridegroom, in a black tuxedo, made his way to the altar with the best man and waited there. With the wedding march rhythm, my friend (the bride) rounded her father’s arm to walk towards the bridegroom. Then her fat her put her daughter’s hand on the bridegroom’s hand. It was the climax that the pastor asked the bride and bridegroom whether they could support each other in their whole life. Afterwards, they exchanged wedding rings and they raised their right hands to give an oath, so the wedding ring could here show the sincere of the oath. I was so moved watching my friend being so happy. After they kissed and were pronounced husband and wife, the couple was showered with handfuls of rose petals. In the end of the wedding ceremony the bride threw her bouquet to the assembled group of all unmarried women in attendance with folklore suggesting the person who caught it would be the next to be married. All girls tried tobecome the lucky one, but you know what? A 9-year-old girl ended up catching it.{温馨提示} 朗阁雅思考试研究中心提醒考生们注意:这篇文章可以用于“a wedding”, 也可以用于“a party”或者“a meal”。
