Electrical Standard Practices Manual
• 20-4X-XX- Chapters related to standard electrical items and connecting parts with their description (P/N identification and characteristics) and their related processes (connection procedure or connection table) :
The ESPM is broken down into the following:
20-00-00
Introduction and how to use. You will also find an example here, which walks you through the process
Part Number (P/N) Construction
NOTE : For ASN standards, the 3 letters A,S,N are omitted in the P/N.For clarity, only the suffix (item)(e.g. TC0607) is shown in the tables. The full P/N is however identifiable since the applicable standard
Part Number (P/N) Construction
It is only with a P/N (not with a FIN) that it is possible to access to the ESPM information. The P/Ns listed in the ESPM are made up of two parts: - A basic element which is the standard number/family. - A suffix which defines the item. e.g.basic element(standard) + suffix(item) = Full P/N NSA936504 ASNE0261 TC0607 CF24 NSA936504TC0607 E0261CF24
20-10-00
Relates to safety issues. Here also you have ability to print yourself a safety tag.
20-25-00
Relates to tools used.

Electrical Standard Practices Manual
The ASM contains the following:
-Simplified Schematics : Have schematic symbols but do not show sufficient detail to permit fault isolation. -Schematics : Show all line replaceable items, all A/C wiring, within a sub-sub system and give sufficient depth for A/C fault isolation. Note: Applicable to the particular customer or group of customers.
number is always mentioned on the page (in the title or/and on top
of the table). NOTE : For tool military part number (MIL), the P/N shall consist of the letter M and of the basic specification number.
The Wiring Diagram Manual
The WDM consists of the following:
ASM - Aircraft Schematic Manual
AWM - Aircraft Wiring Manual
AWL - Aircraft Wiring List

Electrical Standard Practices Manual
20-40-00 Relates to Standard electrical items and connecting parts. 20-50-00 Related to maintenance procedures.
☻
20-30-00 Relates to the rules of specific areas on aircraft and requirements e.g. fuel tanks gear, pressurized, nonpressurized areas.
Identification and markings of wiring and components.

Routing of wiring for safety, redundancy and reduction of EMF induction are described here.
These areas are further divided into 6 designations;
“G” for power generation of AC and DC. “P” for power distribution of greater than 15 amp circuits. “M” for miscellaneous non-sensitive circuits less than 15 amps. “S” for sensitive circuits such as FLT CTRL. “R” for radio audio and antennas. “T” for coax
