Yesterday afternoon Frank Hawkins was telling me about his experiences as a young man.
He was still smiling when the door opened and his wife came in.
Last Sunday, I went and sat on the river bank as usual. Some children were playing games on the bank and there were some people rowing on the river.
What were you doing at two o'clock? I was looking for you everywhere.
I was fishing.
如:Do you watch television? 你看电视吗?I used to, but I don't any longer.
I used to smoke, but I don't any more.
He used to be a lazy boy, but now he is very hard-working.
它的疑问句和否定句形式可以不用助动词did而用used本身,如:Used he to smoke? No, he used not to. He used not to smoke.
Did he use to smoke? No, he didn't. He didn't use to smoke.
难点1.experience(1)n.经历(可数):He told me about his experiences as a young man.
(2)n.经验,体验(不可数):Does she have any experience in teaching? The village has experienced great changes since 1980.
John is an experienced driver.
They saved the child from the fire.
He saved for years to buy a car.
He used to save letters.
It was his job to repair bicycles.
John is looking for a new job.
I'm looking for work as a driver.
I've a lot of work to do on Sunday.
