Features of Classification
• Classification is the division of a topic into smaller groups according to the common features in order to make a central point. It means sub-dividing a subject into its types, kinds, divisions, or groups. The essential characteristic of a logic classification is the use of some distinguishing features to separate one set of items from another. A type or group can have no meaning if its members do not share some common traits or features not present in others. Classification enables us to see things clearer—to identify the pattern behind seemingly random events or occurrences.
