HP Integrity BL870c/880c/890c i2 Server Blade - How to Reset the ILO/MP and LoginIssueUnable to access the MP on a BL890c i2 blade server as the password is not functioning or was forgotten.SolutionOn the new BL8x0c i2 blades the default login and password is not Admin/Admin any more, so there are some new steps to reset the ILO/MP login.On these servers we need to use the Physical Presence Button, the button is in a pin hole so a pin is required to press it.This picture shows the button location:Sl NoDescription10Physical presence buttonThis summarizes the button functions:ILO soft resetPress Physical Presence Button for less than 4 seconds Press PhysicalA soft reset can be performed using the MP>CM>XD command or the ILO GUI.TPM (Trust Platform Module for HPUX systems) resetPress Physical Presence Button for greater than 4 seconds and less than 8.MP/ILO login resetPress Physical Presence Button for greater than 8 sec and less than 12 to reset the iLO login.
