2011年12月英语四级翻译真题解析在大学英语四级考试中，翻译题所占分值为5%。

由5个句子组成，每句话都由一部分汉语和一部分英语构成，要求考生将其中的汉语部分翻译成英语，与所给英语部分构成一个完整的句子。

【真题】88. Linda _________ (不可能收到我的电子邮件);otherwise, she would have replied.【答案】couldn’t have r eceived my e-mail【解析】根据后面的时态可以确定前面的句子是对过去事情的猜测，用过去完成时。

这道题的关键是时态的确定。

(2)核心动词和动词短语的考查。

(3)固定搭配。

主要是名词与动词搭配、形容词与名词搭配、动词与副词修饰关系、名词与介词搭配、固定词组及固定表达等。

【真题】91. It is absolutely wrong to _________ (仅仅以金钱来定义幸福).【答案】define the happiness only by money【解析】此题的翻译是有动词和介词搭配构成的，即define…by。

掌握了一点，整个句子的主框架就出来了，考生只需填补血肉即可。
