赵惠文王十六年[1]，廉颇为赵将，伐齐，大破之，取阳晋[2]，拜为上卿[3]，以勇气闻于诸侯。

蔺相如者，赵人也，为赵宦者令缪贤舍人[4]。

【段意】最初，廉蔺二人的地位颇为悬殊，一为上赵惠文王十六年[1]，廉颇为赵将，伐齐，大破之，取阳晋[2]，拜为上卿[3]，以勇气闻于诸侯。

蔺相如者，赵人也，为赵宦者令缪贤舍人[4]。

【段意】最初，廉蔺二人的地位颇为悬殊，一为上卿，一为宦官门客。

这就为以后矛盾的产生早早埋下伏笔。
