The principles of the WTO
Non-Discrimination The rule requires that a WTO member must apply the same conditions on all trade with other WTO members.
Reciprocity It reflects both a desire to limit the scope of free-riding that may arise and a desire to obtain better access to foreign markets.
Transparency
In 1986, China notified the GATT of its wish to resume its status as a GATT contracting party.
In 1987, the Working Party on China's status was established under GATT.
The WTO members are required to publish their trade regulations, to respond to requests for information by other members, and to notify changes in trade policies to the WTO.

What's the WTO?
The only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations . An organization for trade opening. A forum for governments to negotiate trade agreements. A place to settle trade disputes. A rules-based member-driven organization.
