笔者认为，对于初学英语者来说，阅读材料越简单越能激发学习者的阅读兴趣。

学习英语不是一天两天的事，想提高日常英语口语水平，首先要在语音上下功夫。

第一．我觉得最主要一点是敢于开口说英语，不要怕犯错误。

人人都会犯错，这是再所难免的，只要敢说，就一定能学好。

第二．熟记常用语，确保准确无误。

把常用的交际用语背熟，俗能生巧。

第三．要有灵活多样的学习方法。

一种方式学厌了，可以变换其他的方式，以便学而不厌。

第四．多方位多角度来学英语。

要经常读报、听广播、看外语电影、听外语讲座、读课本和别人交谈等方式来学英语。

第五．坚持不懈。

每天课外至少读30分钟的英语。

第六．要加强交际训练。

语言的运用离不开频繁强化训练，只有交际，才能学好。

本学习材料分两部分来编写，第一部分为交际用语，提高日常交际水平；第二部分为篇章阅读，提高整体感知能力，以读促写，提高学生写作水平。

由于编写时间仓促及经验有限，不足的地方希望广大师生给予正确的批评指正，本人不胜感激。
