数字妈妈有两个孩子：基数词和序 数词。
基数词是表示数量的词，我们学过 的有one, two, three,four,five, 等；另一个孩子序数词，则是表示 数目顺序的数词。今天，我们就通 过熟悉的基数词来学习序数词。
首先，基数词和序数词长得很像。 而前三个序数词却很任性顽皮，长 得奇形怪状的，所以需要我们特殊 记忆。它们分别是：
eight –eighth , nine - ninth 整十 “y”改 “ie”。如： twenty-twentieth thirty-thirtieth
