Scarlett was selfish,vain,and merciless,who would not hesitate to resort any means in order to reach her ends.However,her bravery ,stubbornness,feminism,and pursuit of love also impressed us.The multiple personalities of Scarlett made her attractive and added to the novel’s authenticity.
Society today is full of pared with men,women may get pressure more easily,which they may not be able to deal with well.After reading the novel,what can we learn from it?
Then Scarlett recognized it that what she wanted is Rhett.She went back home and told him that she loved him,but Rhett didn’t believe her and ran away.Scarlett did not know what to do,so she started back to her home and said that there wasn’t a man she couldn’t get back when she wanted,and that she wouldn’t think about it now,for that would make her very sad.She would think about it tomorrow.

This paper centers on the novel Gone with the Wind,and the remarks of its heroins .Gone with the Wind,written by Margaret Mitchell,has been one of the bestsellers and popular among the readers ever since it’s publication in 1936. The main character Scarlett O’Hara transformeቤተ መጻሕፍቲ ባይዱ from a16-years-old girl to a serious-minded and far-sighted woman due to her eventful life,which was influenced by the historical changes of society.

In Scarlett’s time,it was men ’s world,and what women could do was accept such believes that men owned the property,while women manage it.At that time all men felt that wife should be guided by her husband’s knowledge,accept his opinions full and have none of their own.Men took reputation for management,and women praised his cleverness.Men were usually drunk and spoke rudely to women,while women were usually kind,gracious and forgiving.Born in such a society,Scarlett was rebellious.She intended to run the mill herself and finally she gained a great success,which was a big shock to not only her husband but also the whole society.
