The broad and profound Chinese calligraphy
The forbidden city is the powerful core of Qin and Ming dynasty. During more than five hundreds years,about twenty-four emperors handle the affair of state inside and keep the operation of Chinese emperor. At the center of every basilica,it hang over emperor’s throne highly,but behind every throne,it must have the indispensable calligraphy work. Once the powerful emperor,of course,disappeared without a trace,only remained a lot of pairs of calligraphy. Those impressive characters nearly put itself above the throne. What are they? Such as Chinese character,art or creed,etc.
Simply speaking,the Chinese calligraphy refers to a way of writing Chinese character with write brush,consequently,how was a writing way granted with “the art of art”. Where did the Chinese calligraphy get such unique charm?
It is not separable between Chinese calligraphy and Chinese character’s specialty. A letter is a means of analyzing phonetics simply,however,it is no wonder that as a character in the world,only capable of achieving the artistic level, is Chinese character. Although before the printing,Europe also had a tradition of teaching calligraphy and had some people whose writings are very beautiful. However,it is not comparable to Chinese calligraphy. Because the art of calligraphy in China or east Asia was the cultivation of personality. When the ability of
Chinese calligraphy achieved skilfully,the regularity of stroke beauty generated naturally. As for the beauty of appearance and the fluency of writing,of course,was the objective of every character. For the glamour of Chinese character,a poet in Taiwai,Yu Guangzhong,compared between English and French,he described that the Chinese character was the soul of the Han nationality. Take the Chinese character “Yu”for example,when you are writing it,you would imagine a picture of raining,you could seek for the artistic beauty. With this unique representation features,it urged the writer to master skill,at the same time,strive for pursuing the artistic beauty.
In June,649 AD,the emperor LI Shiming lay on the deathbed,he used his last breath to adjure his son to get a thing,so,what was a thing that made the emperor Li Shiming could not part with? It was the famous orchid pavilion. The emperor Li was a prefect artist and an ambitious politician,hence he appreciated Wang Xingzhi very much. During his dominance,he improved the civil-service examination system,changed the tradition idea of family status. The Tang civil-service examination system carried out the system of writing depend on officer. Why the emperor Li Shiming appreciated Wang Xizhi so much? One viewpoint is that he want to curl people’s hearts and minds,mostly for nobility and people in Jiang Nan region. Yan Zhenqing was a great calligrapher and politician,he contributed to maintain the country unity. He created “Yan Ti”,people
who studied “Yan Ti” could write the Chinese character big enough,it had a spectacular beauty inside. However, how did we view the calligraphy of the opposite people,such as Cai Jing,Yan Song and Qin Hui,etc,they became outcasts in the gallery,so,our arts and society reflect higher spiritual yearnings.
In the Qin dynasty,of course, Su Shi was a genius,he was so diligent and liked imitating the orchid pavilion,so his writing was very good,but with the age growing,his writing style changed,it related to his political career. People respected his personality and also liked his writing,his writing get rid of power refinement and sublimate an artistic form of placing on ideals.
I repeated again,the Chinese character was only the art of art in the world,it did not reveal many kinds of writings and paintings,it revealed our soul of Chinese nationality.。
