Ladies and Gentlemen , Good afternoon! I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “A young idler，an old beggar”. I hope you will like it , and found the importance in your life so that more cherish it.
Time flies like an arrow before we realize it .It is known that nothing is more precious than time. Almost everyone knows the famous Chinese saying：A young idler，an old beggar. Throughout history，we have seen many cases in which this saying has again and again proved to be true.
The more we are aware of the significance of this famous saying, the more benefits we will get in study or job.
It goes without saying that the time for our study and work is unusually limited. Hence, even an hour is extremely precious. We should make full use of our time to do useful things. As a student,I must make efforts to engage in my study so as to serve my family. But it is a pity that there are a lot of people who do not know the importance of time. They do not realize that wasting time is equal to wasting a part of their valuable life.
When time goes by, it will never return. However, it is a pity that some people don't make full use of their time .They spend a lot of time in sleeping, chatting playing computer games or other unmeaning matters. . They don't realize that wasting time is
actually equal to killing themselves. They always regret not having made great achievements. One of the reasons may be they do not make good use of time. Therefore, in order to be successful, they should first get into the habit of being on time. It’s a sign of cherishing time. Don't put off what can be done today until tomorrow. Being lazy will eventually lead to failure. Don't wait, because you don't know how long it will take when you put off your plan.
In a word, we should form the good habit of saving time. Do not put off what can be done today till tomorrow. Laziness will not only bring us failure but also lead us to the road of poverty.There is no doubt that time is the life.。
