光学与电子信息学院光学与电子信息学院拥有4个本科专业(光电信息科学与工程、电子科学与技术、集成电路设计与集成系统、微电子科学与工程),7个硕士点(微电子学与固体电子学、半导体芯片系统设计与工艺、材料物理与化学、电子信息材料与元器件、光学工程、物理电子学、光电信息工程),8个博士点(微电子学与固体电子学、电子科学与技术、材料物理与化学、半导体芯片系统设计与工艺、电子信息材料与元器件、光学工程、物理电子学、光电信息工程)以及2个一级学科博士后流动站(电子科学与技术、光学工程)。
构筑了包括本科、硕士、博士、博士后教育在内的完整人才培养体系。
拥有两个国家级重点学科,一级学科“光学工程”和二级学科“微电子学与固体电子学”,其中一级学科“光学工程”在2012年的学科评估中名列全国第一。
拥有的科研平台包括:激光加工国家工程研究中心、激光技术国家重点实验室和下一代互联网接入系统国家工程实验室3个国家级的科学与工程技术研究基地,以及教育部敏感陶瓷工程研究中心、电子信息功能材料教育部国防重点实验室、生物医学光子学教育部重点实验室、湖北省光电测试服务中心、武汉市集成电路设计工程技术研究中心等五大省部级科研平台。
2003年,学院成为第一批9个“国家集成电路人才培养基地”之一,2007年获批教育部“面向群体创新人才互动式培养实验区”,2011年经教育部批准,设立了“教育教学改革特别试验区”,学院成为了全国15所试点学院之一。

This program trains advanced talents with all-round development of morality, intelligence and physique, and with solid theoretical basis, wide knowledge horizon, good practice ability and high comprehensive quality.
