Sit up straight. Don't speak with your mouth full of food. Chew quietly, and try not to slurp. Keep bites small. Eat at a leisurely pace. Don't wave utensils in the air, Keep your elbows off the table.

3) Seeing the Visitors off
It is good manner to open the door and go out after the visitor when bidding farewell (means to leave) in your office. Then, usually, escort the visitor to a point of exit from the company.

2) Hosting
Always stand up to greet and shake hands with visitors. Terminate your telephone conversation immediately when your appointment arrives. Allow your office visitors to be seated before you are. Offer your visitors something to drink. (e.g. water, or coffee) Accept only emergency phone calls and concentrate on the visitor. Escort your visitors out instead of letting them wander.

I. Use a suitable closing phrase: “Thank you for calling us, Mr. Smith.” “It’s my pleasure, Mr. Smith.” II. Always say” Good Bye “instead of “byebye”,”Okay”etc. III. Let the caller hang up first, then hang up gently

2) When gonging to visit
Be polite to everyone at the office. Sit only when invited to do so without being asked. Don’t try to read any document, letter or card unless given to you. Even if you are 5 minutes late, apologize sincerely. If the host must take a phone call while you are there, ask if he would like privacy for the call. (e.g. Should I go outside?)

Some basic principles
Answer all calls within 3 rings Be patient and smile Repeat information to be sure it’s correct Take notes if necessary Be clear avoid some jargon and slang Use caller’s name Thank the caller on completion of the call and bid a friend farewell
Wash you hands before each meal. Knife and spoon are placed to the right of the plate. The fork is on the left. Open the napkin and place it in your lap before starting. Do not take food if it is being passed by you at another person’s request. Swallow food before talking. Talk only of pleasant subjects during the meal. Compliment the host on the food. Take food in small pieces.

The table manner in China
In China the dishes are placed on the table and everybody shares Everyone is supposed to let the guest and seniors eat every dishes first. Do not have to use the chopsticks to tap the tray and bowl. Sometimes the Chinese hosts use their chopsticks to put food in your bowl or plate. This is a sign of politeness. Make sure the spout of the teapot is not facing anyone. It is impolite to set the teapot down where the spout is facing towards somebody.

Also speak slowly and clearly.
