可数名词单数变复数的规则
一.规则变化
1.直接加s。
如:desk-desks
2.以s,x,sh,ch结尾的加es,如:box-boxes,bus-buses,match-matches
3.辅音字母加y结尾,变y为i,再加es。
如:baby-babies。
但前为元音字母时,直接加s,如:boy-boys(元音字母:a.e.i.o.u)
4.以o结尾的,一般来说,有生命的加es.(potato/potatoes,tomato/tomatoes), 无生命的加s(zoo/zoos,photo/photos)
5.以f或fe结尾的,变f/fe变为v,再加es(knife/knives.life/lives)有些直接加词尾s,如chief/chiefs首领 roof/roofs屋顶
二.不规则变化
man/men男人 woman/women女人 child/children小孩
tooth/teeth牙齿 foot/feet脚 person/people 人们
mouse/mice 老鼠
