Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) was an American clergyman, activist, and prominent leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809 – April 15, 1865) was the 16th President of the United States.He successfully ending slavery, and promoting economic and financial modernization. 1861 to 1910:he fight for equal rights for universal suffrage and struggle. In 1861, the American civil war broke out. In order to win in the civil war, Lincoln in 1862, launched the famous "liberation black slaves declaration," the blacks in the law be free. Under pressure, the United States congress successively in 1865, 1868 and 1870 by the constitution, 13 14 and 15 amendment, liberty, citizenship, and the right of voting to black. Although the blacks still cannot achieve the equal status with the white, and still receives discrimination everywhere, but, this period is still has the meaning as a landmark age in American political history about the blacks taking part in politics.
