Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) was an American clergyman, activist, and prominent leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809 – April 15, 1865) was the 16th President of the United States.He successfully ending slavery, and promoting economic and financial modernization. 1861 to 1910:he fight for equal rights for universal suffrage and struggle. Although the blacks still cannot achieve the equal status with the white, and still receives discrimination everywhere, but, this period is still has the meaning as a landmark age in American political history about the blacks taking part in politics.
