Welcome to the 18th FLTRP Cup English debating competition.
Today it is the final competition.
The topic today is “Mobile phone shielding devices should be installed in all college teaching buildings.”I’m your host ess____.
Through a fierce competition, 8 groups from 东湖campus and 东南campus come to today’s finals,and I wish everyone here could enjoy the competition tonight.
Now it’s my great honor to present our distinguished judges for the finals. They are Miss ,Miss ,Mr ,Mr and Miss 。

Welcome!
First of all, let’s go over the rules of the finals. The competition is divided into two rounds. Before the first round, both sides should give a self-introduction of their teams including the name and major of each member.
The teams supporting the motion are referred to as the "Proposition team." The teams arguing against the motion are known as the "Opposition team". Each team has four members. Two members give the speech of the presentation part and the other two give the speech of the conclusion part.
Each speaker will present a single speech within seven mimutes.
Timing of the speech begins when the speaker begins speaking;
all materials—will be timed. Once time’s up,speakers have a 15-second ‘grace period’, duri ng which they should conclude their remarks and new matters are not allowed.
The first part is presentation time. Firstly, the prime minister of proposition will have 7 minutes to state the opinions. Then, leader of the opposition will go next. Points of Information are allowed after the first minute and before the last minute of all speeches.
Secondly, the deputy prime minister of proposition will have 7 minutes to state the opinions. Then, the same to the deputy leader of the opposition.
The second part is summary and conclusion time.
Firstly, the member of the proposition will have 7 minutes to make a conclusion. Then, the member of the opposition will go next. Secondly,the proposition whip will make a conclusion within 7 minutes. Then, the same to the opposition whip.
