记叙文是用来记叙一件实事的题材，记叙的基本线索是时间顺序。

记叙文记叙的一般为已发生过的事情，所以一般采用过去时态。

记叙的方法大都按时间发生的先后顺序进行，即顺序；有时也用倒叙，把结局或者某一突出片段提到前面叙述，然后再按事件发生的顺序叙述。

图表作文是说明文的一种，要求考生能描述图表，然后就图表中所出现的问题进行原因分析，或者针对图表中所出现的问题提出考生的建议。

应用文是人们在学习、生产、工作、生活中传递信息已达到交际目的的一种文体，它要求言简意赅，条理清楚，不需过分的文饰。
