Passage 1中国出口商品交易会，又称广交会，创办于1957年春季，每年春秋两季在广州举办，是中国目前规模最大、历史最长、到会客商最多、成交额最好的综合性国际贸易盛会。
广交会由48个交易团组成，有数千家资信良好、实力雄厚的外贸公司、生产企业、科研院所、外商投资企业、外商独资企业、私营企业参展。
广交会以出口贸易为主，也做进口生意。

Passage 210月7日，中国文化年在法国首都巴黎隆重开幕，我们见到的法国各界朋友，都为灿烂的中华文化以如此气派的场面、如此缤纷的色彩和多样的形式在法兰西登场而感到欣慰。
法国是世界性文化大国，它向世人展示的形象，即使世界第四经济强国，又是独具魅力、散发着文化气息的国度。
特别要指出的是，当今的法国领导人对坚持文化多样性特别执着，他们在联合国的讲坛上，在外交、文化等众多国际活动领域，强调对其他文化和文明应持欣赏和学习的态度。
众所周知，法国总统希拉克热爱东方文化，他对青铜器的鉴赏能力达到专家水平。
前年巴黎集美博物馆修复竣工重新开放，希拉克在参观瓷器馆时，对着展品毕恭毕敬地鞠躬。
当法国报纸刊出这幅照片时，我们的心灵受到震动。
有这样的文化理解基础，中法这两个东西方文化大国携手合作互办文化年，显然是合乎逻辑的。
Passage 3Expo is an excellent mechanism to showcase a country to the world. Expo provides a focal point for visitors around the world to learn about the latest development in new technologies, new products, and new innovations. I think the new trend of Expo is to include cultural exhibitions in addition to the exhibitions about technology and products. Expo 2010 Shanghai will enable China to showcase Shanghai to the world that Shanghai is the economic center of Asia and Shanghai is the model of Asia in the 21st century. Shanghai was the economic center in the past and will be the economic center once again.Passage 4City Conference & Exhibition Center is invested by the Municipal Government, constructed and run by the local Exhibition Investment Development Ltd. It is a large state-of-art intelligent exhibition center incorporating exhibition, conference, fair, IT, trade and large events. Its complete supporting services range from business services, advertisement, warehouse, hotel, catering to entertainment.The Center, occupying an area of 470,000 square meters and a total construction area of 160,000 square meters, is composed of the main building and wing building. Being 432m in length, 105m in width and 42.6m in height,the main building contains 5 floors. The height of the exhibition hall varies from 7.6m to 10m and 15m. It is totally 33,000 square meters available for 2000 standardized booths. At two sides of the exhibition hall, there are two pillar-free exhibition units with an area of 6,500 square meters, a height of 15m and a 81 by 81 meters span grid system. Central air conditioner, automatic fire alarm, closed circuit TV watching system, communication network, public broadcasting and cable TV are all available in the exhibition hall. The exhibition hall on the first floor has an area of 33129㎡and can be separated into 5 independent exhibition units by movable walls. Each unit has its own interfaces for water tap and drainage system, electricity, and computer network. The exhibition hall for light exhibitions on the 3rd floor occupies an area of 2187㎡. There are 19 conference rooms with a total area of 2210㎡locate on the 1st to the 5th floor, including the Lecture Hall of 230 seats on the 4th floor and the 2164㎡on Ballroom the fifth floor. Besides, seaview rooms, guest rooms, business centers and information center of nearly 9000㎡are located in the main building. The wing building is a hotel which contains more than 200 guest rooms. Around the Center are the front and back squares of 300,000㎡. The whole exhibition district is well designed and thoroughly functional. The crescent-shaped ballroom on top of the main building is the most creative feature of the whole building. Our French friends we met here all felt pleased and hailed the splendid Chinese culture from afar. And what we must especially stress is that the present French leaders are always persistent in advocating the diversity of different cultures. At the UN pulpit and various international occasions diplomatic and cultural we’ve often heard their strong voices for the appreciation of and learning from cultures and civilizations other than that of their own. Chirac, French president himself dotes on oriental culture and is even a connoisseur in ancient Chinese bronze ware. The year before when paying a visit to the porcelain exhibition at the French National Museum of Asian Arts reopened after the restoration, he bowed respectfully to the exhibits there. And when the photo was published in French papers the hearts of the people were greatly moved.
