Step 3 Teaching new content
Show the verb phrases about chores with pictures, Teach the new words: sweep the floor, take out the rubbish, fold the clothes, do the dishes,……
1)Ask students to look at screen and say the words in English. Then read altogether. 2)Ask students to do memory test, then ask students to guess what is he doing ?.Teacher checks the answers.
3)Learn the new sentence with students together through pictures. On the screen show question: “Could you please ……? Show the answers to the questions: “—Yes, sure./Sorry, I can’t, I have to ……”
Step 4 Pairwork
Ask students to make a dialogue to practice the structure with their partner.
Step 5 Listening drills (1b)
1. Listen who will do these chores? Check (√) Peter’s mother or Peter
2. Get the students listen to the conversations again and fill in the blanks.
3. Check the answer and repeat after recorder.
