《商务英语口语》课程教学大纲

《商务英语口语》课程教学大纲适用专业:执笔人:适用年级:审核人:制(修)订时间:学时:一、课程定位(一)课程性质《商务英语口语》是电子商务专业的一门综合性、实用性都很强的必修专业课、考试课。

通过本课程的学习,能够培养学生利用互联网进行国际商务信息处理和业务操作的能力,提高学生通过网络进行交流与沟通的基本表达技巧,了解当代电子商务理念及电子商务的巨大潜力,为学生毕业后适应高速发展的电子信息时代和电子商务环境奠定基础。

(二)课程在人才培养过程中的作用国际化语言中,英语在电子商务中起到了非常重要的桥梁作用。

电子商务作为一门新兴商业活动方式,它引领了商务活动的前进方向,代表着先进的从业方式,是商务历史发展的必然趋势。

所以商务(三)本课程与其他课程的关系电子商务英语是通过因特网做生意,因此它就必然涉及到诸多领域的词汇。

除了计算机和网络技术的大量专业术语外,还包括商务贸易、广告、银行、零售、旅游、出版、证券等诸多行业的专业词汇,以及电子商务本身的专业术语。

因此,要学习好本课程需要学生多关注与其他课程的练习,这样才能更好的胜任电子商务英语方面的工作。

二、教学目标(一)知识目标通过本课程的学习,让学生了解相关的商务背景知识、商务会议情况及商务环境中不可避免的一些基本工作内容;广泛接触商务英语词汇;侧重培养学生听、说能力。

(二)能力目标这门课程通过大量真实、生动的素材和课堂演练,使学生在掌握语言技能的同时,了解现代国际商务的知识,达到在体验商务中学习英语、提高商务交际能力的目的。

(三)素质目标通过专业的口语训练,大幅度地提高学生的日常英语,尤其是商贸英语的会话能力及口语技巧。

掌握在实际商务活动中的礼仪,了解不同国家地区之间的风俗差异,树立正确的人生观价值观,深化民族自豪感与自信心,从而更好的开展商务活动。

三、教学内容与学时分配(一)学时分配本课程分两个学期完成,总共120学时,第一学期60学时,第二学期60学时,具体分配表入下:(二)教学内容1. Unit One: Arrival of the Americans教学要求:为了训练基本日常口语,要求多练多开口,以达到习惯成自然的程度。

教学要点:Language skills: 1. Greeting2. Introduction3. Excusing oneself4. Arrange transportation5. Describing distance and directions2. Unit Two: Discussing the Itinerary教学要求:学习有关商谈日程的单词与表达方式,进入角色扮演,从而自然掌握语言技巧。

教学要点:Language skills: 1. Plans2. Choices and preferencesTo have students work with a partner: One is a Chinese host and the other is a Canadian visiting businessman. Offer him various choices and ask about his preference for: 1)entertainment; 2)food; 3) sightseeing 4) other things the visitor is interested in during his stay in China and would like to do more business with Chinese.3. Unit Three: At the Dinner教学要求:通过招待客人的情景,学习一些英语菜名,介绍中国风情,及学习招待客人的英语句子。

要求学生情景练习,达到一定的流利的程度。

教学要点:Language skills: 1. Before the dinner: greeting the guests2. During the dinner: Serving the food3. Responding to a compliment4. Toasts5. Concluding the dinner4. Unit Four: Sightseeing教学要求:通过观光情景练习,让学生能已较流利的英语给客户导游。

教学要点:Language skills: 1. Special descriptions 2. Directing the guests3. group vs. individual activities4. Historical expressions5. Concluding the tour5. Unit Five: The Negotiation Starts教学要求:练习谈判,如何用英语讨价还价,准确表达意见。

教学要点:Language skills: 1. Light talk before the formal negotiation2. Starting the negotiation3. Getting from general to specific4. Agreeing/disagreeing/seeing the other side6. Unit Six: Price and Terms of Payment教学要求:通过外贸实质性谈判,学会如何用英语表达价格、付款条件。

教学要点:Language skills: 1. changing the subject2. Returning to the original topic3. Making concessions4. Hesitating5. Clinching a deal7. Unit Seven: Delivery and Claim教学要求:学会表达有关交货期及索赔的英语句型。

教学要点:Language skills: 1.Delivery : urging early delivery2. Quality: requirements for quality3.Penalty for inferior quality8. Unit Eight: Compensation Trade教学要求:通过练习,能够表达有关补偿贸易方面的英语用语。

教学要点:Language skills:1. Compensation trade1) Could you send us the machines first, and we’ll compensate you withproducts we make with the machines?2) If we have the machines first, we can raise productivity and improvequality. 教学要点:Language skills:1. Entry into the US2.Accommodations(1)Making reservations(2)Arriving at the hotel(3)Postal servicesRole play: Work in pairs. One acts as a Chinese on a business trip to the US. He goes through the immigration check point, but has some problems clearing customs. Finally he clears customs and is met by his American partner, who takes him to the hotel.11. Unit Eleven Financial Arrangement教学要求:要求掌握有关贸易付款的有关英语。

教学要点:Language skills:Terms of payment(1)payment in advance(2)collection(3)letter of creditRole play: Work in pairs. One acts as a Chinese, the other his/her advisor.The Chinese wants to do compensation trade with a Canadian firm. He/she needs advice on how to finance the trade.The Chinese wants to export to Russia and needs advice on the financing side of the business.12. Unit Twelve:Visiting the Factories教学要求:通过练习,掌握如何了解工厂的一些词汇。

教学要点:Language skills: 1. Negotiating a contract involving technology transfer1) Definition, content and scope2) Payment3) The delivery of technical documentation4) Acceptance5) Warranty13. Unit Thirteen: A Busy Night教学要求:进一步掌握日常生活用语。
