Around eight o’clock in the morning I took a taxi to work, I was having small talk with the driver when we both spotted a car about twenty meters ahead collide with a racing truck on the other side of the road. With a huge bang, the windshield glass on both vehicles broke into pieces. The force of the crash was so enormous that the front of the car was firmly stuck under the truck. Traffic was halted. Without thinking, we jumped out of the car and rushed to the scene of the collision, just like many other people. Soon we found the car driver, who was seriously injured, trapped in the transformed car. Somebody called the police and the ambulance. We tried to pull the car free, but failed. Soon the fire brigade also arrived. With a special equipment the front of the car was cut off. The driver was carefully lifted out and rushed to hospital. It was a miracle, however, that the truck driver was only slightly hurt.。
