Main Idea
When Ming liang Lu moved from Shanghai to New York City in 1990, he brought with him his skills as an artist. At first, he used these skills to survive as a street artist painting portraits of tourists. Then Ming got a position at the Chinese Cultural Center in NY and he began going to schools in Harlem to teach students about Chinese culture through art. While painting, his students learn about Chinese culture and about diversity in general.
