Article 1. This standard applies to structural laminated veneer lumber.

Article 2. Terms given in the left column of the following table shall be defined as those set forth
respectively in the right column:

结构用单板层积材（下文简称SLVL） SLVL is lumber for general use composed of laminated veneer sheets that are
peeled off by rotary lathe or slicer and glued together with their grains nearly
parallel (in the case of a veneer sheet used as its grain is at a right angle with
that of the adjoining outer most veneer, exclude the veneer sheet concerned
and other sheets than the above shall be used with their grains nearly parallel
to one another) and is used mainly as a load-bearing member of construction.
SLVL是一种由镟板机或切片机剥离的页状层积单板胶合在一起制成的具有接近平行纹理的板材，（在中间的一张单板的纹理是跟它外面的绝大多数单板的纹理垂直的，除了这张， 其他的单板的纹理应该是互相平行的），主要用于结构物上的受力构件。

Article 3. Standards for the structural laminated veneer lumber shall be as follows:

water soak delamination test (or the vacuum/pressure treatment test) and
the horizontal shear test as specified in (1), (2) (or (3)) and (4) of 3 of the
Appendix respectively.
按照第3条中（1），（2）（或（3））和（4）的详细说明能分别通过水浸泡剥离试验，滚开水浸泡剥离试验（或真空/压力处理试验），和横切试验。
3. Methods of testing
测试方法
(1) Immersion delamination test
水浸剥离试验
a. Preparation of test pieces
试样的准备
Two square test pieces with a side of 75mm shall be prepared from each sample lumber (if the
width of sample lumber is less than 75mm, rectangular test piece with the said width and 75mm in
length shall be prepared).
从每个样品板上取2块边长为75毫米的正方形试样，（如果样品板的宽度不足75毫米，那么试样可以为长方形，其长度为75毫米而宽度为样品板的宽度。
b. Methods of testing
测试方法
Test pieces, after being immersed in water of room temperature for 24 hours at a temperature of
60±3℃ with good ventilation.
把两片测试块在室温下浸泡24小时以后放在60±3℃的环境中并保持良好通风。
c. Standard requirements for test pieces
测试件合格需要达到的标准
Ratio of delamination on 4 sides of test pieces shall not be more than 10% in length and the
length of delamination on the same glue line (except the delamination less than 3 mm in length, so
to be understood hereinafter) shall not be more than 1/3 of the length of the said glue line.
测试件四个侧面的剥离率在长度上不得超过10%并且同一胶合层的剥离长度不得有超过1/3胶合层长度的情况存在。
Note: Ratio of delamination shall be calculated by the following equation.
注：剥离率应用以下公式计算。
Total length of delamination on 4 sides
Ratio of delamination = -----------------------------------------------------× 100

(2) Boiling water soak delamination test
滚开水浸渍剥离试验
a. Preparation of test pieces 试验材料的准备
The same as (1) a 跟（1）a相同
b. Method of testing 测试方法
Test pieces, after being immersed in boiling water for 5 hours, shall be immersed in water of
room temperature for 1 hour. Then the test pieces shall be dried in a thermostatic drier for 24
hours at a temperature of 60±3℃ with good ventilation
试样，在滚开水中浸泡5个小时以后，再在室温水中浸泡1个小时。然后试样要放进带温度调节装置的干燥机，， 在60±3℃中干燥24小时，并保持良好通风。
c. Standard requirements for test pieces 测试合格的标准
The same as (1)c 跟（1）c相同。
(3) Vacuum/pressure treatment test （3）真空/压力处理试验
a. Preparation of test pieces a. 测试件的准备
The same as (1)a 与（1）a相同
b. Method of testing b. 测试方法
Test pieces are immersed in water of room temperature, vacuum of 508mmHg to 635 mmHg
is applied for 30 minutes, and then increased pressure of 5.2±3 kgf/cm² is applied for 2 hours.
After that, the test pieces shall be dried in a thermostatic drier for 24 hours at a temperature
of 70±3℃ with good ventilation.
测试件浸泡在室温的水中， 用508毫米汞柱到635毫米汞柱的气压抽30分钟真空， 然后用5.2±3公斤力/平方厘米的压力压2个小时。 做过以后， 把试样放入70±3℃的干燥机中， 在通风良好的情况下干燥24小时。
c. Standard requirements for the pieces. 试样合格标准
The same as (1)c 与（1）c 相同
（4）Horizontal shear test
水平剪力试验
a. Preparation of test pieces
试样的准备
Test pieces shall be prepared from each sample lumber in the following manner: Two test
pieces of rectangular shape for flatwise direction test (laminated direction of veneer and
loading direction shall be the same, and so to be understood hereinafter.) shall be prepared.
Each test pieces shall have a width of 40 mm and a length of 6 times the thickness of sample
lumber. In addition, two test pieces of rectangular shape for edgewise direction test
(laminated direction of veneers shall be perpendicular to the loading direction, and so to be
understood hereinafter) shall be prepared. Each test pieces shall have a width equal to the
thickness of sample lumber and a length of 6 times the thickness of sample lumber. As to the
sample lumber with a thickness of not less than 40mm, however, the lumber shall be shaved
