Abstract: O bjective: To investiga te m echan ism s of SM Zco resistance in m u lti2drug 2resistan t stra in s of E scherich ia coli. M ethods T he genes ( su l1, dfrA 1, dfrA 5, dfrA 12 and dfrA 17) of SM Zco resistance w ere detected by po lym era se cha in re2 action (PCR ). Results In 20 stra in s, su l1, dfrA 1, dfrA 12, dfrA 172 po sitive ra te w a s 90% ( 18 20 ) , 10% ( 2 20 ) , 5% ( 1 20 ) and 75% ( 15 20) resp ectively. A to ta l of 18 detection su l and o r dfrA gene ( 90% ). Conclusion T he SM Zco resistance m echan ism s of the ECO a re su l1 and dfrA rela ted.
