教学重难点：1.Sentences:(1)The boy was walking down the street when a UFO landed.(2)While the alien was buying a souvenir ,the girl called the police .2．Vocabulary : alien ,bought , landed on ,got out of , while , took off3．Difficult points：掌握以when, while引导的时间状语从句。
本课重点是掌握并进一步巩固第一课时的句型：要求学生能应用他们在实际情景中自如运用。
重点词语及句型：when, while, landed on, alien, got out of, bought, called the police, called the TV station, took off1.The boy was walking down the street when a UFO landed .2.While the alien was buying a souvenir, the girl called the police .课前准备：本课时的教学课件。
课前发给学生表格向学生布置任务：在表格中填写有关内容.教学设计：建议与说明选取上一课时的材料作为课堂的切入点，既起到复习巩固作用又能以旧带新，自然引出新课。
在听音练习中,第一遍让学生静听,对内容有一个大致印象,第二遍再动笔答题。
在二人小组中进行询问并做好记录，熟练句型、强化口语。
教师抽查操练情况，让一部分学生在班上做汇报，学生评出最佳优胜者。
