In
1818 the Shelleys moved to Italy, where Byron was residing. In 1819 they went to Rome and in 1820 to Pisa. Shelley's works from this period include Julian And Maddalo, an exploration of his relations with Byron and Prometheus Unbound, a lyrical drama. The Cenci was a five-act tragedy based on the history of a 16th-century Roman family, and The Mask Of Anarchy was a political protest which was written after the Peterloo massacre大屠杀. In 1822 the Shelley household moved to the Bay of Lerici. There Shelley began to write The Triumph Of Life.
To
welcome his friend Leigh Hunt, he sailed to Leghorn 来亨( 意大利一城市). During the stormy return voyage to Lerici, his small schooner纵帆船 the Ariel sank and Shelley drowned with Edward Williams on July 8, 1822. The bodies were washed ashore at Viareggio, where, in the presence of Lord Byron and Leigh Hunt, they were burned on the beach. Shelley was later buried in Rome.
In
company with Mr. Hogg, a fellow-student, he composed a treatise论文 entitled "The Necessity of Atheism."无神论For this publication, both of the heterodox students were expelled from the college in 1811.

Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1827)
English
Romantic poet who rebelled against English politics and conservative values. Shelley drew no essential distinction between poetry and politics, and his work reflected the radical ideas and revolutionary optimism of the era.

• Shelley next went to Oxford,
but
he studied irregularly, except in his peculiar views, where he seemed to be constant in his thought and speculations. He also issued a syllabus of Hume's "Essays," and at the same time challenged the authorities of Oxford to a public discussion of the subject. He was only seventeen at the time.
He
had all the advantages of wealth and rank, and hence much was expected of him.
At
the age of ten
Shelley
was placed in the public school of Sion. 锡安 House, but the harsh treatment of instructors and school-fellows rendered his life most unpleasant.
Accordingly
he was enabled to raise money with which he purchased an annuity 年金 from his father.
He
again repaired=go to to the continent in 1816, when he met Lord Byron at Lake Geneva. Later he returned to England and settled at Great Marlow, in Buckinghamshire.
His
unfortunate wife committed suicide by drowning herself in the Serpentine River in December, 1816, and Shelley married Miss Godwin a few weeks afterward (December 30).
