全院教师在在各级各类刊物上发表学术论文866篇，其中 核心期刊110篇，主编、参编专著、教材44部，获省部级 科研奖励20项。承担包括国家“863”计划在内的国家级 科研项目5项，省部级项目29项，国家社科基金项目6项。
Teachers of the university have published 866 academic articles in journals of various levels, including 110 in fundamental journals. Some teachers have also been involved in editing 44 monographs and teaching books. They have also won 20 prizes of provincial level. The university has undertaken 5 national level research projects, including the “863” projects,29 provincial level projects and 6 projects of the National Social Science Foundation.
Beifang University of Nationalities,formerly known as the Second Northwest University for nationalities,is directly affliated to the State Ethnic Affairs Commission .It is the only comprehensive ethnic institution of higher learning established in an ethnic monority area in China .It is located in the "lush southern-type fields on the frontierYinchuan,capital of Ningxia Hui Atonomous Region."

学校概况
北方民族大学的前身是西北第二民族学院，直属于国 家民族事务委员会，是我国唯一一所建立在少数民族地 区的部署综合性民族高校，坐落在“塞上江南”——宁 夏回族自治区首府银川市。
学校始建于1984年，2008 年5 月北方民族大学正式 挂牌。

It has set up the Institute for Social Anthropology, Institute for History and Culture research, Institute for Financial Research , Institute for Electric Technology, Institute for New Technology Application. The powdery material and special ceramic lab, the ecosystem module construction and application open lab are key laboratories of the national committee of minorities.
The university was initially founded in 1984.In may 2008,Beifang University was formally established.
