本文的主要工作是开发居民家庭经济状况核对系统软件，实现群众收入情况的全面核查。
通过本系统各个部门之间建立信息交换机制，可以整合民政、劳动保障、公安、房管、公积金、工商等相关信息，在取得个人同意、保护个人隐私的前提下，对申请人的各项收入信息进行比对、汇总，以掌握其实际情况，从而形成一个全面、权威的收入核对系统，辅助政府部门在办理相关业务时使用。
本文首先对居民家庭经济状况核对系统的需求展开分析，调查了核查对象以及本系统的功能需求和非功能需求，从而确保系统需求的正确性，而后对系统进行设计、开发和测试，确保居民家庭经济状况核对系统的真实有用性。
从该系统的实施效果来看，对于公共资源分配、减少基层工作、救助补贴等方面都取得了良好的效果。
