The well-known song Olive Tree was written by Echo. The singer QiYu from Taiwan sung it and then became very famous for this song.
Echo
This album is San Mao's life story, there she wrote 12 songs, the music of the series into a full biography of Sanmao. A major characteristic of this album is Qi Yu and Pan Yueyun is an excellent combination of teana - like Song.
In 1967,her first love failed. Then she went to study in Spain,she met Jose Maria Quero Y Ruiz(荷西•马 利安•葛罗).
After graduation,she traveled around Europe.
Red Dust
The movie Red Dust was written by Echo,and it received eight Golden Horse Awards. The main ployers in the movie were Lin qingxia, Qin han and Zhang manyu.
In 1974,she entered Sahara and married He Xi.
He Xi died in September30 in1979 because of a dive accident.

He Xi waited Sanmao for six years bofore they got married. Sanmao once said every time I thought of you,the sky land a piece of sand,thus forming the Sahara. The Sahara Witnessed He Xi and Sanmamo’s real love.

San mao’s original name was chen maoping. But she thought “mao(懋)” is hard to write ,so she called herself Chen Ping in short， And Echo is her English name.
In 1972,she got engaged with a German.But in a
. night before the
wedding,the man died of heart attack .She was so sad to left Taiwan and went to Spain again.
In 1991,Sanmao died in a hospital in toilet,having hanged herself with a pair of silk stockings(丝袜).
