I. Pre-reading1. Retell the story aboutJane Goodall.2. 让学生分组讨论问题。

4. 让学生做词汇搭配练习,了解学生的预习5. 课堂评价。

对活动3进行教师评价。

设计意图:简单复习上节课内容,让学生回顾Jane Goodall 的事迹,为本节阅读课作好铺垫。

小组讨论问题还可以激发学生的学习欲望,引导学生对事物的发展进行预测,从而自然引出本节课的学习内容。

接下来的进一步预测是培养学生充分利用阅读标题和图片的意识。

读前处理生词,在检查学生课下作业的同时也为接下来的阅读扫清了词汇障碍。

步骤二 阅读1. 第一遍快速阅读文章,并在阅读过程中划出如:what, who, why, where, when, how 等基本信息。

从中归纳文章主旨。

每一个小组选出本组的最佳问题向全班提问,其他小组竞争回答问题。

教师可以指导学生从以下几个方面进行提问:1)关于文章大意方面(What’s the main idea of the first paragraph?) 2)关于文章细节方面(When did Jane first arrive in Gombe?)3)根据文章内容进行推断(What do we know about Jane’s personality from the second paragraph?)4)关于篇章结构、写作技巧等方面(Which part is the summary of the reading?)设计意图:这个活动是培养学生提问题的能力。

提问能有效促进学生思维的发展,要培养学生自主探究的精神,前提之一就是教师要给学生提供“问”的机会。

另外,教师还应该给予具体的方法和实例指导,Reading2.
