现如今全球面临资源短缺、环境污染、生态破坏这三大危机，作为地球公民，师生有责任就“保护地球”这一话题进行探讨。
教师在教学过程中要紧密联系生活实际，引导学生热爱地球、保护地球。
2． 本单元围绕话题“保护地球”，主要学习句型We use water/ plastic/ wood/ …to…的用法，并运用句型We should/ We should not…为保护地球提供具体的建议。
3． 在教学过程中，教师要善于抓住学生的兴趣点，充分利用多媒体、实物、简笔画、照片等媒介，加上生动的语言和形象的体态语，使语言点的训练密切联系生活，使学生们爱说乐说。
