房间、门牌号码读法
2103房间room twenty-one o three
分数
表示分数时，分子要用基数词，分母用序数词。
如果分子大于1，分母必须用复数形式：1／3→a（one）third
2／3→two thirds
1／4→a（one）quarter（或fourth）
3／7→three sevenths
1／2→应读作a（one）half
1/6 one sixth
3/10 three tenths
0.1 point 1, zero point one, naught point one
21.24 twenty-one point two four
带分数（mixed fraction）five and two sevenths
比较复杂的分数如：24／789，多读作twenty four over seven hundred and eighty nine。
小数
表示小数时，小数点前面的基数词和前面讲的基数词的读法相同；小数点后的数字则必须一一读出：
0．0089→（zero ／naught）point zero zero eight nine
1．36→one point three six
百分数
百分数由percent表示，百分号％读作percent，应用时常与by连用。
0．68％→zero point six eight percent
6％→six percent
369％→three hundred and sixty nine percent
The output of steel went up by 20 percent．钢产量增长20％。
The price of cotton was reduced by 20 percent．棉花的价格下降了20％。
The loss of water has been reduced to less than 30 percent．水的损耗减少到30％以下。

数字的记录与表达
1、数字的记录方法
迅速、准确地记录听到的数字是做好数字口译的第一步。
以下我们以实例介绍几种常用的记录方法。
当听到英语“one hundred twenty-three million, four hundred and fifty-six thousand”时，我们可以用下面的方法记录：
（1）123m456t
用英文字母“t”、“m”、“b”、和“tr”分别表示“thousand”、“million”、
“billion”和“trillion”等段位。
（2）123,456, 或123，456 / 或123，456——或123，456K
用逗号“，”、斜杠号“/”、横线“——”或用字母“k”表示“000”。
（3）1亿2345万6千
转换成目的语记录。
如果听到汉语“1亿2千3百45万6千”时，我们可以用下面的方法记录：
(1)1.23456亿
用小数点表示。
(2)1亿2345万6千
用原语记录。
(3)123m456t
用目的语记录。
虽然还有其他的记录方法，但是以上的几种方法比较简明、快捷，更有利于数字的正确记录与转换。
2、数字趋势变化的表达
讲话人经常利用数字来说明事物的趋势变化，因此译员应该掌握一些趋势用语以丰富口译表达。
以下介绍几种常用的表达方法：
（1）表示向上的趋势
上升to rise a rise
增加to increase an increase
提高to climb a climb
暴涨to jump a jump
高得多 a great deal (far/much/dramatically) higher
（2）表示向下趋势
下降to fall a fall
下跌to drop a drop
下降，下滑to decline a decline
减少to decrease a decrease
暴跌，跳水 a sharp drop
略微低于fractionally (marginally) lower
稍微低于somewhat lower
稍低于slightly (a little) lower
远低于considerably (substantially) lower
当使用“高于”，“低于”，或“更快”表示比较时，可以通过添加“dramatically （显著地）”或“marginally（微小地）”等词，增强或减弱比较的程度。
以下一组词常
用于表示由极强至极弱的程度变化：
dramatically → sharp → substantially → considerably → far → much → a little →slightly → somewhat → marginally
表示数字趋势变化时，要注意“of”、“by”、“to”、“at”等介词的使用。
例如：There was a rise of 6% (six percent).
The figure rose by 3% (three percent).
（3）表示波动或平衡的词语
达到平衡to level out/off
保持平衡to remain stable
波动to fluctuate
保持在to stand/remain at
达到高峰to reach a peak
（4）表示倍数、百分比
•“翻两番”表达的意思是“四倍”，例如：
到2020年实现国内生产总值比2000年翻两番，达到40000亿美元左右。
By 2020, China's GDP will quadruple that of 2000 to approximately USD 4 trillion.
•一成即10%，60%即六成。
“2成3”表达的意思是“23%”，例如：
今年的粮食产量比去年增长2成3。
The output of grain this year has increased by 23% over last year.
The figure for middle school students in China will rise to 127 million.
Inflation stood /remained at 4%.
The Sales of the company’s products fell/dropped by 5% last year.
