通知的种类及格式
格式
通知（或布告）的格式和书信不相同。
不写对方的地址和名称，也不一定用称呼和结束语。
有时口头通知可有称呼。
如：Ladies and gentlemen（MET89A）之类的。
书面通知有一定格式：上有标题“Notice（或Announcement）”。
其后既可编号也可不编号。
出通知（或布告）的单位名称，应写在“Notice”一词上面，也可写在正文后面右下角。
较正式的通知（或布告）必须有单位负责人的署名，也可在正文的右下角，署名下面写上职务。
发通知的日期，一般写在左下角，但有时可以省略。
口头通知一般使用第三人称或按写作要求确定人称。
基本要点
写通知要力求简明扼要。
常见的由以下五点组成。
即正文要写清楚在什么时间，什么地点，有何事情，谁参加以及注意事项等。
常见写通知的套语
1．Getting silence
May I have your attention，please（MET89A）？
（请注意啦！）
这是一种比较正式的表达法。
以下几种说法供你参考。
Please be quiet，everyone．
（请大家安静。
）
Be quiet，please．
Comrades，please be quiet！
Attention please，comrades．
Listen，please．
Please stop talking over there！
2．Beginning an announcement
I have an anouncement to make．（NMET94）
（我要发一个通知。
）
类似表示法还有如下几种：
Be quiet，everyone．There's something I have to tell you．
Be quiet，please．There's something you need to know．
Attention，please，There's been a change in our time schedule（表）this week．Listen，please．There's going to be a lecture．
Will you stop talking？I have something to tell you．．．
3．Ending an announcement
That's all．Thank you．
（我的话完了。
）
这是宣布通知后的一句结束语。
又如：
So much for it．Thank you．
Any questions！Does everyone understand？
Everyone is welcome．（NMET94）
All English teachers are expected to attend the class．
Teachers of other courses are also welcome．
4．Expressing the future
①be going to do sth．
The Student Union is going to hold a party on Saturday evening，August 15，．．．（NMET94）
②will do sth．
A．On Saturday 22July there will be visits to different places．（MET89A）B．We will have lunch at the place of visit．
Lunch will be served at the place of visit．

③be to do sth．
A．We are to visit the musuem．
B．The meeting is to held on Friday．
④The Imperative Mood
（用“祈使语气”来表达）
A．Please be there on time．
B．Don't be late for the meeting．
⑤The Present Indefinite
（用“一般现在时”来表达）
The plane leaves at six．
注：限于某些动词，如：be，get，start，set等。
⑥The Present Continuous
（用“现在进行时”来表达）
We're having an English evening tonight．
注：限用于某些动词，如：go，come，leave，stay，do，play，return等。
⑦be about to do sth．
The Japanese friends are about to leave．。
