南宁市概况Overview of Nanning
南宁，简称“邕”，别称：绿城、邕城。
阳光充足，雨量充沛，霜少无雪，年平均气温在21.6℃。
市辖区6城区6县。
全市国土面积22112平方公里，其中市区（即六城区）面积6476平方公里。
全市总人口约700万，其中市区人口约300万。
Nanning is a city full of sunshine and rainfall ,lack of frost and snow ,with 21.6℃annual average temperature,which is named for short as “Yong”,also called Green City or Yong City. Including 6 urban towns and 6 counties, Nanning covers 22112 square kilometers, among them downtown (6 urban towns) take up 6476 square kilometers. With a population of 7 million, the downtown population comes about 3 million.
南宁是广西壮族自治区的首府，是全区政治、经济、文化、科技、教育、金融、信息的中心。
位于广西的西南部，是连接东南沿海与西南内陆的重要枢纽，也是西部重要的省会城市。
同时是国家级经济区—北部湾经济区建设的核心城市，拥有沿海城市待遇和税收等多项优惠待遇。
2004年起，“中国—东盟博览会”永久落户南宁，并每年举办一次，使南宁成为中国对外开放的前沿城市之一。
在国家实施西部大开发和建立中国—东盟自由贸易区之际，南宁市具有承东启西，连南接北的区位优势，是中国经济快速发展的新区域和外商投资的新热点。
located in the southwest of China, Nanning become an important hub who connects southeast coastal with southwest inland and not only act as a key provincial capital in west area,as the capital of Guangxi it also stand as the centra of whole region`s politics、economy、culture、technology、education、finance and information. After all , as the core city of National economic zone ——Beibuwan economic zoneconstruction,Nanning gains the treatment of coastal city and a lot of preferential treatment such as revenue and so on. Since 2004, the “CAEXPO” having been host future in Nanning once a year, that makes it become one of the opening up frontline cities in China. During the development of western and the construction of China -Asian free trade region, Nanning has the geography advantage of connecting east and west, south and north,so it is a new region of China economy rapid development and a new point that attracting foreign investment.
南宁是一座美丽的城市，全市绿化覆盖率近40%，被形容为“半城绿树半城楼”。
1998年被国家旅游局命名为“中国优秀旅游城市”，先后获得“中国城市综合实力50强”、“国家园林城市”、“2000年迪拜国际改善居住环境良好示范奖”、“2008年联合国人居奖”等称号。
1999开始举办的南宁国际民歌艺术节”成为广西文化与经济结合的新亮点，使南宁成为“天下民歌眷恋的地方”。
Nanning is a beautiful city that has 40% green coverage rate, and is described as “Half green trees and half buildings ”. In 1998, is was named “China excellent tourism city”by the national tourism administration, and then also awarded as “China’s Top 50 cities in terms of overall strength”、”national garden city”、”Dubai International Award for Best Practices in Improving th e Living Environment 2000”、”UN Habitat Scroll of Honor 2008” and so on. In 1999,Nanning has began held the “Nanning International Folk Song Arts Festival”, that had became a new highlight of Guangxi cultural and economic integrate, and had made itself became “A place loved by folk songs around the world ”.
2011年南宁市地区生产总值约2211.51亿元，同比增长13.5%；全年财政收入363.52亿元，同比增长20.82%；全社会固定资产投资约2003.68亿，同比增长37.05%，进出口总额约25.10亿美元，同比增长13.90%。
In 2011, the GDP of Nanning reached RMB 221.151 billion, up by 13.5%. Government revenue was RMB 36.352 billion, an increase of 20.82%. Whole social Investment on fixed assets reached RMB 200.368 billion, an increase of 37.05% and foreign trade was USD2.51billion, up by 13.9%.。
