新视野大学英语口语考试范文

First, getting up early and reading in the moring. Then, listening some authentic tapes and following the process Furthermore, learning some English songs to improve your own accent.Last but not the least, reading English books loudly and answering questions without any worryingsAs an universally spoken language, English is widely used in many countries. However, as Chinese is my first language, I undoubtedly encountered some difficulties during the process of learning another language - English. Now, I'm writing this essay, to give you tips on how to improve your English during your English learning.Firstly, increase the times you speak English. As an English learner, one has to know how to speak AND write, instead of just write. Moreover, once you verbally improve your English skills, it makes it easy to communicate with the foreigners.Secondly, try to think in English. It is hard for sure in the beginning, but as you practice to erase that Chinese logic of yours, and substitute with English, you will find your English skills improving day by day.Thirdly, read more English passages/books. Doing this directly enhances the time you spend on English. The more you read in English, the more familiar you will become with this language. Indisputably, you will become more practiced in your perception of such language. It doesn't matter if you encounter words you don't understand, just skip right through. It's the general process of English - perceiving that counts.Fourthly, learn more about the English culture. It is self-explanatory how this is. You can't just learn a language without knowing its background and history!Talking about English study,I think practice is necessary and important. For the improvement of English,we should practice as much aspossible. Before classes,we must preview the lesson by repeating after the tapes and look up the new words in the dictionaries. When in class,we ought to try all our best to answer the teachers' questions. And it's very useful to keep the texts in mind.Listening to english news also does good to our english.Listen to a lot of high quality spoken English. Language learning expert Stephen Krashen (see reference 1) says that we learn a language from input we can understand. Listen to a higher level of language if you want good English for business or academic purposes. As a beginner, listen to instructional CDs or software. When you are ready, listen to quality news, documentaries and movies in English. If you don't live in an English-speaking country, find these sources on the Internet. You will need a lot of listening to improve, so commit to listening for an hour or more every day.Read in English every day to increase your vocabulary. Read material you understand but gradually increase its challenge level. Try to read for 30 minutes to one hour every day.Record your spoken English and listen to the playback. Try to hear your own strong and weak points. If you are taking an English class at a school with a language lab, look for pronunciation software. Listen to the speakers, record your own speech and play it back to compare. This practice will help you improve your pronunciation.Pay attention to grammar when you speak. If you don't know the rules, take a grammar class and ask English-speaking friends to correct you. However, don't expect grammar exercises to take the place of listening and reading. Stephen Krashen (see reference 1) believes that we learn grammar better by hearing and reading the language.Improve your fluency by speaking in English every day. Seek out opportunities to talk to English speakers. Join a club, talk to neighbors or travelers and make new friends who speak English. Enjoy activities with English speakers so you use English in real-life situations. When you are alone at home or in the car, speak English out loud for practice. Speaking your thoughts aloud will also help you improve your oral English.Look for opportunities to give speeches and presentations. Volunteer to give talks in English at school or in the community. If you don't belong to a suitable group, join an English club or a speech club or sign up for a speech class in English. You will gain confidence by talking in front of a group and you will get valuable feedback. If you practice diligently, you will improve your oral English.Making a good impression has become more ang moreimportant to everyone in such a society full of competition. Thus we should be aware of it.When you have a chat with your friends, you should make aneye-contact, listen to what they are saying carefully,it shows that you respect them, as a result, you can enjoy a comfortable and wonderfull talk.Smiling is also very important. Not only can it reduce stress of an astomosphere, but it also can let you make friends easily even though he or she is a strangerTo make a good impression,we have to have deep confidence in ourselves. If you are calm and confident, the other person will feel more at ease and this makes a solid foundation of a good first impression. The next thing is your appearance.Although physical appearance seems to be more important nowadays, don't get upset if you are not born pretty/handsome.Try presenting yourself appropriately, start with the way you dress.Dress for occasions, do not dress for your own mood.Make sure that you look clean and tidy as this help to make a good impression.Well, the most important thing is a smile.“Smile and the world smiles too.” A warm and confident smile will put both you and the other person at ease. You have to look sincere and true while you are smiling. When it comes to making the first impression, body language as well as appearance speaks much louder than words. Thus, stand tall, smile (of course), make eye contact, greet with a firm handshake. All of this will help you project confidence and encourage both you and the other person feel better at ease.Conversations should be short and sweet.Don't talk non-stop as this makes the other person bored. Try to find something common between the two of you to talk so as to keep it flowing.Your attitude is also what counts in a good impression.Stay positive, courteous and don't start criticising people or make sarcastic comments because this will spoil your image.. Firstly, I will attend extra-curriculum activities. For example, I attend gardening club, in which place, we plant flowers and trees. Not only can we have ourselves diverted into green land with higher spirit, but also we can wash away our sorrows or blues when planting trees. We can chat and have a happy together.Secondly, I will do volunteering work. I will volunteer to help poor students, to help mentally retarded children. That make me feel meaningful of my life, and more rewarding.Thirdly, I will give full use of universities utility. Such as database\ libraries\ labs. We have quick access to these resources in university only. So I will use them wisely to enhance my knowledge.Time spent at a university is a most worthwhile period in a young person's life. This is a time when a student begins to form his or her ideas about life in general. Attending classes and studying in the library keep a student busy and provide him or her with access to valuable information, adding to his or her knowledge base.Campus life can also be rich and colorful. Most universities offer a variety of extracurricular activities such as sports events, contests, and other social gatherings, enabling the students to experience relief fi'om study and homework. Students often form lifelong friendships through the varied experiences of university life.During the time a student spends at university, he not only develops his intellectual ahilites,he also develops social skills as well as knowledge and wisdom necessary for choosing a future career. By learning how to balance intense study and recreation, a student will be well prepared for the challenges of future responsibilities.I totally didn't get along with many of the gifted students at school because I was usually of another opinion than them and they usually thought of me as 'stupid' for it.Adjust your attitude if need be. Some people are contemptuous of others they deem less intelligent. As with beauty, intelligence is not an accomplishment. Just be thankful that those smarter than you are smart enough to know that you're no dummy.Intelligence, or the appearance of intelligence, is not the most important measure of a person。
