1. When Elizabeth became the queen of England, there were contradictions between Spain and England. At that time, England pirates(海盗) often robbed the Spanish trade ships for gold and other goods, which threatened the marine benefit of Spain. In addition, there was a conflict between the two countries’ religion. Spain was a Catholicism(天主教的)country, however, Elizabeth preferred England to be a Protestantism(新教的) country.
