气囊的作用 ——CAB(HAB)/帘式（头部）气囊
头部气囊也叫侧气帘，在碰撞时弹出遮盖车窗，以达到保护乘客的效果。头部气 囊主要针对侧撞时乘车人的头部进行保护。头部气囊安装在车顶弧形钢内，通常 贯穿前后，受车身内横向加速度传感器控制。当横向加速度大于正常值，且达到 危险值时就会控制起爆。对于侧撞、翻车等严重事故有着很好的人员保护功能。

安全气囊
§ 安全气囊，是指撞车时在乘员产生二次碰撞前，使气囊膨胀保护乘员的装置。安全 气囊作为座椅安全带的乘员约束装置的辅助装置，被称为安全气囊系统（ Supplemental Restraint System,SRS）。安全气囊系统包括气囊与充气机构（气 体发生器）组成整体式安全气囊模块，感知碰撞并向安全气囊模块发出展开指令的 碰撞传感器系统，以及传送由传感器发出的信号的线束。
