About Fabrics
Generally speaking,we can divide clothing fabrics into several categories as follows: silk fabrics, cotton fabrics, bast fabrics, wool fabrics, synthetic fabrics and blended fabrics, fur and leather, knitted fabrics and other materials. Chinese sill is well-known all over the world. You can get almost anything in silk: scarves, ties, handkerchiefs, shirts, blouses, pajamas, underwear, Chinese-style garments, women’s dresses and so on. The range of colours, patterns, and textures is wide enough to suit all tastes and needs. Although cotton has to be ironed after each washing, people still prefer cotton fabrics. They are rough, but soft and porous. So they feel much more comfortable than synthetic fabrics do. Besides cotton fabrics are cheaper than wool or synthetic fabrics. Bast fabrics feel nicer and cooler. So they are the beat selection for summer-wears. Wool fabrics are high quality materials. You can use them in any season. A man looks smarter and more energetic in a wool suit or an overcoat. A woman looks more elegant and more tasteful in a wool dress. But don’t forget to have wool clothing dry-eleaned because washing will make the colour run and it will shrink after washing. Synthetic fabrics and blended fabrics are suitable for daily wear because they are washable and shrinkprool. Fur and leather, as we know, are the highest quality for winter-wears. A fur or leather ferment looks noble and elegant. Knitted fabrics are suitable for all kings of garments. People like them very much. There is a great market for knitted garments. The T-shirt is a good example.

Using the jacket back pattern piece and a tracing wheel, measure down the center back line 7.5cm(3 inches).Draw a curved line across the jacket back..Center the back to approximately 5cm(2 inches) bellow the underarm position on the seam line and along the top of the ing interfacing as for the jacket front, cut out with a pinking curved edge to avoid creating a ridge once it is fused to the fabric.Fuse to the fabric.（18 分）
