Teaching steps:
Step1 warm-up
(1) The teacher using the new sentence asks the students
“what are you going to do today?” “I’m going to
___________.”and then talks to the students.
(2)The teacher shows the picture which some thing about the
new words to the students and ask them to speak the new
words which learned by yesterday.
(3)The students repeat all the new words which learned by
yesterday after the teacher.
Step2 presentation
(1)Using Chinese to talks to the students “You know, Gogo can fly and he loves go everywhere. However, Gogo don’t know what to do today. So, he talk about this with Jenny. Now, please listen to the radio and look at these pictures carefully. Play the tape, hold up the book and point to the pictures.
(2) The teacher asks the student what’s going on this
conversation in Chinese. And then the teacher translates the Chinese
meaning for the students. After that, the teacher teaches them read the conversation one time.
(3) Let’s listen again and repeat. (Play the tape, pausing after
each sentence to have Ss repeat.
(4) Put students in three groups to practice acting out the
dialog.
(5) Let the students pretend Gogo and Jenny.
Step3 conclusion
The students repeat the conversation after the radio or teacher.
Step 4 homework
(1) The students copy the new four sentences.
(2) The students review the conversation on page 15
