导学过程
（一）复习检测
1.检查词汇预习：让学生齐读本课158页的新单词和短语(from gift to at fi rst)，目的是培养学生的朗读习惯，同时巩固预习效果。
齐读后，小组内成员互相检查单词、短语等的预习情况。
老师每组抽查一人。
2.旧知检测：听写下列句子：（组长交叉检查）
1）你知道萨利麦克斯维尔到了吗？。
2）我问过你的秘书他是否可以一起来。
3）我将问你一些个人问题，并把你的回答录下来。
4）顺便问一下，为什么不把你们的朋友都带到北京来做客呢？
（二）情景导入

例句：It doesn’t matter .不要紧。
拓展：matter 可作名词，译为“事情，问题”如：

变为复数时译为“事态，情况”。

不要使事态变得更糟糕
