1.知识目标:掌握下列重点单词和词组的意思及用法gift ,junior , far
away ,lonely , afraid ,be afraid to do ,anyone ,laugh , worry ,usual ,pass, bright ,matter believe等
2.能力目标:1)能够使用that, if , who, why等引导的宾语从句
2)掌握故事的写作方式,介绍自己的经历
3.情感目标:培养学生互相关爱的情感,学习爱人和关心人。

重点与难点1.重点句式:(1)I can’t wait to meet you.
(2)I’m quite shy when I’m with strangers.
(3)You sound great fun.
(4)I’m very excited about coming to China.
2.难点:学习表感觉和知觉的系动词及系表结构,并学会一些描述人
长相和性格的表达方式。

如:I feel stupid when I get bad marks and I get angry with myself----I should work harder.

导学过程
(一)复习检测
1.检查词汇预习:让学生齐读本课158页的新单词和短语(from gift to at fi rst),目的是培养学生的朗读习惯,同时巩固预习效果。

齐读后,小组内成员互相检查单词、短语等的预习情况。

老师每组抽查一人。

2.旧知检测:听写下列句子:(组长交叉检查)
1)你知道萨利麦克斯维尔到了吗?。

2)我问过你的秘书他是否可以一起来。

3)我将问你一些个人问题,并把你的回答录下来。

4)顺便问一下,为什么不把你们的朋友都带到北京来做客呢?
(二)情景导入
Work in pairs and answer the questions.
1.When was the last time you felt happy?
2.Who did you tell that you were unhappy ?
3.What did you do to feel better /
4.How can you make other people feel happy?
(三)多层阅读
1.目的性泛读:
1)快速阅读“ A beautiful smile”,answer the following questions .
(自主完成,然后小组讨论)
a. When did the boy give an important gift to Zhang Bei?
b. What has become Zhang Bei’s best friend now ?
c.What happened and when
d.Where she was and how she felt
e.Why she felt lonely
f.What happened one day?
g.What happened later?
2).细节考查
仔细默读文章,完成Activity 3。

小组间合作解决不懂的地方,教师适时点拨。

(五)突破难点
1.对重点内容和疑难问题进行合作探究学习。

1) lonely adj 孤独的,寂寞的
He is a lonely person .他是个孤独的人。

拓展:与有关的短语
感到寂寞feel lonely 荒凉偏僻的山村a lonely mountain village

辨析:alone 与lonely
alone 作形容词强调客观上“单独的,独自的”,在句中多作表语。

如:She was alone in that dark room .
他独自一人待在那件黑暗的屋子里。

He likes living alone .
他喜欢独自生活。

2 matter v 有关系,要紧
例句:It doesn’t matter .不要紧。

拓展:matter 可作名词,译为“事情,问题”如:
It’s a matter of importance .
这是很重要。

变为复数时译为“事态,情况”。

如:
Don’t make matters worse .
不要使事态变得更糟糕
•I t doesn't matter if you are late.
•What’s the matter with you?
•I have an important matter to talk to you about.

3) be afraid to do sth 译为________________ 表示“不敢”,只凭经验和一般常识不敢做某事。

2.自主完成后,小组合作,交流学习成果,共同释疑。

3. 疯狂朗读以上重点内容。

(六)归纳短语
1. 通过对文章的学习,让学生归纳文章中的短语,可以小组合作,然后通过实物投影呈现出一个小组的成果,然后其他小组补充完善。
