高校思想政治教育的育人功能不仅是培养全面发展的大学生的内在要求，更是高校思想政治教育蕴含的个体价值所在。
因此，必须采取切实有效的实践路径发挥高校思想政治教育的育人功能。
一、高校思想政治教育育人功能的内涵解读高校思想政治教育的育人功能主要是针对在校大学生，对其进行多角度、深层次、系统化、理论化的思想及政治行为的教育，以期提高他们的各项素养，进而使大学生意识到自己的主体地位，从而实现人的全面发展[1]。
显然，高校思想政治教育育人功能主要包括三个方面：政治导向，思想构建，道德内化。
（一）高校思想政治教育育人功能之政治导向高校思想政治教育育人功能的政治导向，是用马克思主义的基本立场、观点、方法去武装学生头脑。
高校思想政治教育作为一门专业学科，具有不同于其他学科的独特属性，即政治性。
所谓思想政治教育的政治导向功能，在于使社会公民不断实现政治社会化的过程。
从个体学习过程来看，政治社会化即个体通过社会各种环境和思想政治教育活动吸收政治信息，形成一定的政治观念、政治态度、政治情感和政治信念的过程。
个体的政治社会化，是一个伴随着个体生存和发展的终身过程。
高校思想政治教育在对大学生进行全面教育时，还是离不开基本的政治导向，由此才能不断展开其他方面的教育。
（二）高校思想政治教育育人功能之思想构建高校思想政治教育育人功能的思想构建，即通过教育载体把先进积极的思想观念、人生价值等传授给大学生，期望提升他们的精神品位，丰富大学生的内心世界，从而能够在一定程度上构建起专属于自我的精神家园。
构建精神家园作为一个哲学命题，有着丰富的内涵。
人是身和心的统一体，不单单追求食果腹、衣蔽体，更加追求精神上的充实和满足，这是人作为高级动物与其他动物的根本区别之所在，同时也是人的社会性的突出表现。
对于人类而言，精神的满足，自身的全面发展和进步是更高层次的目标。
精神，对人来说是最宝贵的。
毛泽东曾说，“人是要有一点精神的”[2]。
邓小平曾说，“没有革命精神，就不可能有中国革命的胜利”。
在党的十八大报告中也强调加强大学生的理想信念教育的重要性。
所以，思想政治教育是生产和传递精神财富的有力工具，同时对于社会的精神生产又起着直接的指导作用。
（三）高校思想政治教育育人功能之道德内化高校思想政治教育育人功能的道德内化，也就是需要通过教育手段，把高尚的品德境界、良好的品德准则，传授给受教育者，使受教育者能够将外在的道德要求通过自我消化吸收为内在的坚固品质，进而经过知、情、信、义、行的转化，生成相应的道德行为运用到生活实践中。
马克思指出人的本质属性是社会性，由于人处于各种社会关系中，不是单个片面发展的，因而人的全面发展就不能单纯等同于自我智力和体力的发展，必须有外在共同的伦理标尺和道德标准来约束人的社会行为，并且把高尚的道德境界作为社会人必须具有的价值观念。
《礼记?大学》中的有过这样一句话：“自天子以至于庶人，壹是皆以修身为本”。
因此，道德是人众多素质中的核心要素，而道德内化则是高校思想政治教育育人功能的重要内容。
二、高校思想政治教育育人功能的困境解析高校思想政治教育的育人功能不断呈现出弱化的趋势。
一是引导功能弱化。
引导功能的弱化主要表现在理想信念、奋斗目标、行为规范等方面。
首先是理想信念导向弱化，即部分大学生存在着政治立场不坚定、理想信念不清晰、行为规范不健全等问题。
其次是奋斗目标导向弱化，部分大学生人生缺失奋斗目标，忽视成为优秀大学生，拥有好品行的社会公民和中国梦践行者的奋斗目标，忽视自身和心灵的高度统一。
最后，行为规范导向弱化，即部分大学生道德修养和法律素养不高，生活中存在着个人行为失范等现象。
二是思想功能弱化，当代部分大学生只片面追求物质利益，外在享受，忽视建构自我精神家园。
三是德育功能弱化，即高校的思想政治教育在帮助大学生形成积极人格方面的功能减弱。
主要表现为部分大学生在待人接物、为人处世、情感反应和意志行为等方面，存在着人格缺陷或人格障碍。
造成育人功能弱化的原因是复杂而多样的，具体来说主要有以下三个方面的原因。
（一）外部环境的复杂化，弱化教学育人功能外部环境对于思想政治教育工作的开展有着重要的影响作用，其中主要包括社会环境，校园环境，家庭环境等。
首先，改革开放以来，经济方面的变化也带动着人们的思想发生变动，同时国外的各种社会思潮、意识形态和多元文化进入国内，个人主义、享乐主义、拜金主义等思想频现，严重弱化了高校思想政治教育的育人功能。
其次，不良的校园环境也会弱化高校思想政治教育的育人功能。
目前大学校园里普遍存在着学风不正，教风不端等现象，在一定程度上会影响大学生形成正确的价值观、人生观和世界观。
最后，不良的家庭环境弱化了思想政治教育的育人功能。
父母是孩子的第一任教师，家庭环境对于个人成长成才的影响至关重要，但是现实生活中，由于各种复杂原因的交融作用，造成部分大学生逐渐形成错误的人生观、世界观和价值观等。
长期生活在不良的家庭环境中，会造成人的形成思维定式，自我道德规范力较差，因此会给高校思想政治教育扭转错误思想增加了难度，进而也就削弱了思想政治教育的育人功能。
（二）少数教师缺失师德，弱化教学育人功能“师者人之模也，无德者无以为师”，“德高为师，学高为范”，这些名言都蕴含着对于教师的基本规范要求，包含了世人对于教师的基本道德要求[3]。
师德修养在发挥高校思想政治教育育人功能中的重要性是不言而喻的。
当前高校思想政治教育理论课大部分教师为维护和发扬高尚师德传统不懈努力，但是由于教师教育和管理上的缺位，导致部分教师出现理想信念不坚定、育人意识淡漠、价值观念失衡、教学水平不高和科研工作浮躁等问题。
这些教师“为谋求私利放松了对自己职业道德的要求，责任心和义务感趋于淡化”[4]，部分教师对教学不负责任，应付了事；对学校教育事业漠不关心，教书不育人；对自身形象要求不严，误人子弟，给大学生的思想政治教育工作造成严重的负面影响。
（三）思想政治理论课自身效果不理想，弱化教学育人功能思想政治教育学自20世纪80年代建立以来，取得巨大的成就，但高校思想政治教育理论课仍存在很多问题，主要体现在教育内容、教育方法和教育载体三个方面。
首先，高校思想政治教育理论课政治性色彩浓厚，所设置的内容超脱学生的实际生活需要，忽视了理论联系实际，从而造成学生厌烦思想政治课的消极情绪。
其次，教育方法上大部分高校思想政治理论课仍然采取传统的管灌输法，案例法、讨论法、研究法等方法在课堂中很少得到运用，当然也有受限于大课堂人数较多的因素。
但是单纯传统的灌输会降低大学生的听课积极性。
最后，尽管当代科技不断发展，各大高校硬件设施不断改进，运用先进的多媒体设备，但是由于部分教师自身专业技能欠缺或片面单纯依赖多媒体课件开展教学，未将自我情感与思想融入其中，从而导致教学效果并不尽如人意。
三、有效发挥高校思想政治教育育人功能的方法论抉择方法论的抉择，是有效发挥高校思想政治教育育人功能亟待解决的重要理论问题和实践问题。
毛泽东说：“一个正确的认识，往往需要经过由物质到精神，由精神到物质，即由实践到认识，由认识到实践这样多次的反复，才能够完成。
”[2]因此，如何有效发挥高校思想政治教育的育人功能，也需要经过实践的反复检验，才能寻出真正切实有效的方法。
（一）结合大学生特质，深入学生内心，坚持三贴近教育原则高校思想政治教育想要实现其育人功能的实效性，基础前提是使大学生认同并从内心愿意接受。
因此思想政治教育的改革和创新必须坚持三贴近原则，即贴近实际、贴近生活、贴近学生。
高校思想政治教育要找准思想教育与大学生学习、生活的结合点，与大学生思想热点和成长需求结合起来。
当前高校思想政治教育教学实践忽视大学生的思想特点与需要，一味以教科书为权威，追求硬性教学目标，从而造成学生对于思想政治教育课及与思想政治教育相关的活动形式感到厌烦抗拒，这样的教育形式不切实际，因而也无法吸引学生，更加无法达到预期的效果。
要完善和改进中国高校思想政治教育的教育实践，必须从学生的性格特点、兴趣爱好出发，引导他们充分发挥自己的特长，同时根据每个学生自身的不同特点采取不同的教育方法，分层次、分阶段做深入细致的思想政治教育工作，让大学生充分发挥其独特的个性优势，逐步形成高尚的思想品格。
（二）加强思想政治理论教师队伍建设，提高教育者综合素质要实现高校思想政治教育育人功能的有效发挥，必须加强思想政治理论教师队伍建设。
首先，从教师自身来说，要注重自我塑造。
思想政治理论课教师必须要主动适应社会的变化与发展，不断学习、充实提高自己，使自己成为高素质的思想政治教育主体。
思想政治教育教师要提升自身的教育技能，从而敏锐地意识到学生思想品德的现有水平，了解学生的性格、兴趣及需求，找准教育的出发点和契合点。
思想政治教育教师除了要有很强的敬业精神和奉献精神之外，还应该将自己的专业学术功底、丰富的阅历、相关的最新知识及前沿疑难问题等实现与教材的有效结合，在对教材进行再创造中使课堂教学始终充满新意，从而易于学生接受[5]。
其次，从学校角度来说，要实施灵魂塑造。
学校的思想政治教育工作不能停留在口头上、会议里，应当渗透在教学科研活动中，渗透到丰富多彩的文化娱乐活动中。
（三）创新高校思想政治理论课的教学模式高校思想政治教育实效性不高，除了从外部寻找原因，探究途径，根源应该从思想政治理论课本身出发，创新高校思想政治理论课的教学模式，要相应地创新教学方法、教学内容和教学手段。
首先，由于高校思想政治理论课受限于大课堂的局限性，因此更多的是采取灌输法、讲授法。

其次，思想政治理论课的教学内容存在着政治性偏浓的色彩，会在一定程度上引起学生的反感，因此，要完善课堂教学效果，需要思想政治理论课及时更新教学内容，摒除其中不合时宜甚至是落后的教学体系，将与学生实际生活和思想上的困惑切实相关的内容融入课堂中，引起心灵共鸣的教学内容才能达到积极地教学效果。
最后，教学手段上要改善教学设施，多形式的运用多媒体技术，使教学形式活泼生动、喜闻乐见。
