Celebrated internationally in areas with large populations of ethnic Chinese, Chinese New Year is considered a major holiday for Chinese as well as for ethnic groups who were strongly influenced by Chinese culture.

teachings of the Chinese philosopher Confucius. Confucianism originated ad an “ethical-sociopolitical teaching”during the Spring and Autumn period. The core of Confucianism is humanism, the belief that human beings are teachable, improvable and perfectible through personal and communal endeavor, especially including self-cultivation and self-creation. Confucianism focuses on the cultivation of virtue and maintenance of ethics, the most basic of which are “ren”, “li”.

For them, learning Chinese has become the only road to a profound understanding of China.
