Life
Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky was born in Votkinsk(沃特金斯克)，a small town in present-day Udmurtia(乌德穆尔特) a former province of Vyatka（维亚特卡） in the Russian Empire.Tchaikovsky took piano lessons from the age of five.A precocious pupideptly as his teacher within three years. His parents were initially supportive. Nevertheless, the family decided in 1850 to send Tchaikovsky to the Imperial School of Jurisprudence in Saint Petersburg.
