For a narration type passage, the method is to read the passage from the beginning and sentence by sentence. When you get an idea of what the story is about, it’s time to stop reading. Usually this happens when you’ve read one third of the passage. Try to answer the questions, and you’ll find you can answer some of them. When you come across a question you don’t have enough information to answer, go back to the passage and resume your reading from the point where you stopped. Go on with your reading until you have the answer to the question.
When you take up a reading comprehension passage, the first thing is to tell whether the passage is an exposition or a naion type passage, the method is to read the first sentence of each para-graph carefully and skip the rest of the paragraph. You’ll then find some of the questions following the passage which can already be answered. For questions you don’t have enough information to find the right answer, you’ll use a second method.
